City of Chicago: Pushing the Envelope

Did you know that in August 2017, the City of Chicago adopted the Paris Agreement’s target of cutting carbon emissions by 26-28% by 2025? As of 2015, the city has reduced carbon emissions by 7%, and has recently begun implementing other strategies to help meet that target.

These videos are from the recent conference we hosted on the City of Chicago’s sustainability agenda, our current Chicago Sustainable Development Policy, and how we as building professionals can help the city meet its bold target by 2025.

Presenters included local representatives from the Office of the Mayor (Amy Jewel), the Department of Planning and Development (Michael Berkshire), AIA 2030, AIA COTE, and Passive House Alliance Chicago.
